Cargo ship attacked, 5 crew kidnapped, Nigeria

General cargo vessel OYA1 under way was attacked by pirates on the night July 29-30 in position 04 10N 006 59E, some 20 nm off Bonny, Nigeria, Gulf of Guinea. Pirates boarded the ship and reportedly, kidnapped five crew. Nigerian Navy was alerted, vessel was taken to Bonny. The ship sailed from Takoradi Ghana on July 27, port of destination unknown, probably Douala Cameroon. On a photo OYA! Under one of her previous names, CELIA.
