Chinese freighter sank off Macau, 10 crew rescued

Taishan maritime and fishery emergency body was alerted at 1130 Beijing time Dec 1 by a distress signal from cargo ship SHUN XIN 188, which reported sinking in stormy weather near Wuzhou island, Guangdong province waters, waters, southwest of Macau. Fish patrol boat was sent to rescue, nearby fishing and merchant vessels were requested to assist. All 10 crew of SHUN XIN 188 were rescued.
