Norwegian container ship disabled, towed to safety, East China sea

Container ship BARDU was caught in rough weather in East China sea and suffered power loss at night Jul 19, being some 25 nm off Yangtze estuary. At 0530 Beijing time Jul 20 East China sea MRCC sent SAR ship to assist disabled container ship, in the afternoon Jul 20 SAR ship DONG HAI JIU 101 (IMO 9654816) approached BARDU and took her on tow. At around 1900 Beijing time Jul 20 BARDU was towed to Luhuashan Anchorage, and brought to anchor.
Container ship BARDU, IMO 9504592, dwt 34086, capacity 2546 TEU, built 2014, flag Marshall Islands, manager KLAVENESS SHIP MANAGEMENT AS (EQUASIS).
