Containers shifted on German container ship in Med UPDATE Why?

Sep 13 UPDATE: The ship was caught in strong storm on Salerno – Castello log in Balearic sea, during Sep 10-12. She was sailing at full cruising speed of some 16 knots, so the question is, how justifiable was the decision to move on into storm. Seems like waiting the storm out in Italian waters could be a better option, considering the consequences – at least two toppled stacks, damaged containers and goods.

Sep 12: Container ship JOANNA BORCHARD suffered containers shift in Mediterranean, while en route from Salerno, Italy to Castello Spain, sometime in Sep 9-11 period. She berthed at Castello late Sep 11, and as of evening Sep 12, remained berthed. No news on containers loss, which may have take place.
